Interfaith Action receives $56,000 Cafeteria Line from Hell’s Kitchen Minneapolis
On Saturday April 19th we traveled to Hell’s Kitchen Minneapolis to pick up our new cafeteria line for Project Home. This line, valued at over $56,000 was donated by Hell’s Kitchen themselves, an employee-owned restaurant that has been serving downtown Minneapolis for over 23 years. On March 13th 2025, Hell’s Kitchen announced on social media that they were looking to donate their cafeteria line worth over $56,000 to a non-profit organization in need. Hell’s Kitchen received hundreds of applications from nonprofits all over the Midwest. Finally on April 4th, we received the news that Interfaith Action had been chosen.
Hell’s Kitchen staff were eager to be able to give back to the community that has sustained them over the last two decades. Staff said, “In our 23 year history, we’ve never had the privilege of being able to make a donation of this size. Project Home does great work, and it’s an honor for Hell’s Kitchen to help that meal process so families can spend more time together.”
We are honored to receive this incredibly generous donation from Hell’s Kitchen. With this equipment we will continue to ensure every family we serve has access to warm meals and quality time together around the table.
Project Home’s shelter serves over 25,000 meals annually to unhoused families in our community. For these families, mealtime is often the most important part of the day—it’s a moment of connection and comfort during an otherwise uncertain time. Hell’s Kitchen’s donation will allow us to continue serving nutritious, hot meals efficiently and safely while meeting our growing demand as we continue to serve more and more members of our community from our new home in Bandana Square.
