Family Advocate – Evenings
With an understanding that homelessness is traumatic, Evening Hosts offer comforting and respectful hospitality and ensure a clean, safe environment for the families under their care and supervision. Evening Hosts work shifts from 5 pm to 8 pm. Learn more
Family Advocate – Overnight
With an understanding that homelessness is traumatic, Overnight Hosts offer comforting and respectful hospitality and ensure a clean, safe environment for the families under their care and supervision. Teams of two Overnight Hosts work regular overnight shifts, including some weekends and holidays, from 7 pm to 9 am. Cots where Overnight Hosts can rest are provided in spaces separate from where our guests sleep. Learn more

COVID Resource Navigator, Department of Indian Work
This position provides information and referral services for American Indian individuals and families on a variety of social and economic issues but not limited to legal, social services, medical referral, education, housing, employment, and transportation. This position will also answer DIW’s COVID-19 resource hotline to ensure callers questions are achieved and resources are maximized to the full potential. This position requires a high level of motivation, attention to detail, excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to use an electronic data system. Learn more
Rapid Exit Caseworker, Project Home at the Provincial House
With an understanding that homelessness is traumatic, our Rapid Exit Case Management team develops focused relationships with our guest families to assist them in obtaining and maintaining stable housing. Additionally, our Rapid Exit Case Management team works with guest families to increase their economic mobility either through expansion of benefits or employment opportunities. Learn more
Peer Health Navigator, Project Home at the Provincial House
With an understanding that homelessness is a traumatic experience and that most families who utilize Project Home live with a chronic health issue, the Peer Health Navigator will provide a knowledgeable bridge between community healthcare systems and our program participants. Learn more
Volunteer Handyperson
Interfaith offices and DIW food shelf are located in a former church in Saint Paul. Help us keep our building in top working order by providing handyman/handywoman services. Volunteer Food Delivery Driver
The purpose of this position is to deliver food items from Department of Indian Work food shelf to families/clients’ home at various locations throughout St. Paul. The driver should be well-versed and comfortable driving an oversized van. The driver is responsible for delivering food items in a timely manner and make sure the correct food boxes are delivered to the right client. Learn more
