We are helping weave a web of compassion and support to hold our city together as we face the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice. Over the past few months, we have:
- Doubled shelter capacity with move to central location and are now serving families 24/7 with support to find permanent and affordable housing, healthy meals, financial education, fun and educational programming for children, and six months of support to help families when they move out of shelter.
- Responded to a 300% increase in Department of Indian Work food shelf usage.
- Hosted conversations between clergy and civic leaders to discuss COVID-19, racial unrest and injustice, and ways to build a healthier community.
- Created new legal video series about critical legal rights for faith communities to share.
- Delivered culturally relevant enrichment learning activities for nearly 100 American Indian youth to doorsteps weekly in the summer.
