CommonBond Communities is the Midwest’s largest nonprofit provider of affordable housing services. Its youth Study Buddies program provides one-to-one tutoring through a structured, academic-focused program.
We carefully screen our partners to ensure they demonstrates effectiveness and impact in improving economic mobility. We also ensure that our volunteers have the support and resources they need to be successful in their roles. Each organization provides the necessary training and orientation for volunteers to feel comfortable and ready to engage in their important work.

Daily Work provides employment services and mentoring to job seekers living in poverty to assist them in making measurable progress towards gaining and keeping employment and becoming self-sufficient.
East Side Learning Center pairs children (K-2) with adults who work one-on-one to provide reading tutoring based on personalized lesson developed by experts.
Neighborhood House supports refugees and new immigrants with wraparound services that address basic needs, parent and early childhood education, youth leadership, college readiness, adult education, food support, and health and well-being.
Reading Partners works with under-resourced schools, engaging volunteer reading partners to work one-on-one with students (K-3) who struggle with reading.
The Saint Paul Public Library offers homework centers, reading programs, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) opportunities. Volunteers tutor, read and mentor students in numerous locations around Saint Paul.
