Thanks to support from Northwest Area Foundation, our monthly Community Power-Ups bring practical education on work, finances, legal issues, housing and more to people in Greater Saint Paul. Participants learn how to take good care of their legal and financial concerns, boost their ability to solve problems in their lives, and form a community of supporters.
The evenings begin with music from Twin Cities Mobile Jazz Project and a hot meal. The sessions will be videotaped to ensure the info can be shared widely.
Celebrate the Holiday Season
Thursday, December 5, 5:30 pm dinner, 6:00 pm program
Walker West, 760 Selby Avenue, Saint Paul
We will reflect on the past months of Community Power-Up and hear from Otis Zander, president and CEO of Ujamaa Place. He is dedicated to serving marginalized African American men at the vulnerable ages of 18-30, many of whom lack education, are homeless and unemployed, have mental and chemical dependency issues or are involved with the criminal justice system. Join us for an uplifting evening to celebrate the holiday season!
