The St. Paul CROP Hunger Walk is an annual community-wide event, sponsored by Church World Service to raise money and awareness for hunger relief in St. Paul and around the world. Teams and individuals from local faith communities, businesses and other organizations walk, move, or roll as much or as little as they like on a planned route on Summit Avenue.
Fundraising can be done online through personal and team pages set up when you register online, or through asking friends, family and acquaintances in person. Some churches or groups may choose to raise money through other types of fundraising events or special collections instead.
Twenty-five percent of the money raised goes to the Department of Indian Work Emergency Services, a program of Interfaith Action of Greater St. Paul, and the remainder is used to support Church World Service’s hunger relief efforts in areas most in need throughout the world.
