Abby Sunde

Abby Sunde started working at Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul in July 2017 as the American Indian Youth Enrichment VISTA for the Department of Indian Work. In August 2018, she became the Food Shelf Intake & Referral Specialist. In this role, she is excited to continue her work with American Indian families and help provide resources for them to thrive.

Prior to this position, Abby worked at an environmental remediation company in the Twin Cities where she participated in environmental clean-up programs and community engagement.

She grew up in Merrill, Wisconsin, and is affiliated with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa in Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris with degrees in Biology and Environmental Sciences and is currently a part-time student at the Atelier Studio Program of Fine Art.

She lives in Bloomington, Minnesota, with her husband, Shea, and her cat, Ipsy. In her free time she enjoys the arts, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family.
