Working Together

I am humbled and greatly excited to be elected the new President of the Board for Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul. It will be an exciting time for all of us. With the leadership of our new Executive Director, Randi Ilyse Roth, it will be a time to review, reform, and revise the works that we do together to repair the breach of those we humbly serve.
On behalf of the board, I would like to thank David Misemer for his leadership as President over the past 3 years as we revisioned our strategic plan, traveled through an interim year, and named a new executive director. His calm steady presence has been a gift to us all, and his continued presence on the board will continue to provide him voice for his vision and leadership.
I serve as Deacon at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church in the Merriam Park Neighborhood, located near the Interfaith Action main office. In addition to serving as Deacon, I work full time at Delta Airlines in the Information Technology department, where I manage a team of IT specialists around the world. I also serve on the board for Episcopal Homes located in the Midway at University and Fairview.
God calls us to work together to heal the wounds in our neighborhood; to challenge the issues of poverty, to provide decent housing and meaningful productive work, to challenge the issues of classism and racism, and to successfully educate our children. In my experience, as faith communities, we work far too independently to respond to God’s challenge, and often struggle to move out of our silos and work together. My commitment to you is where ever possible we will embrace together, as a committed singular faith community, the changes that will enable us to fulfill the vision of Interfaith Action in Greater Saint Paul.
He has told you, human one, what is good and what the Lord requires from you: to do justice, embrace faithful love, and walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
